For over 25 years, Lakeside Oral Surgery has provided patients ages 14 and up with a safe, dependable oral surgeon in Greensboro, GA. We were founded in 1997 by renowned oral surgeon and anesthetist, Dr. Lee Whitesides. What began with a vision to bring exceptional oral health care to our community has become a pillar that patients can rely upon for their most significant treatments and procedures. From extraction to removal and beyond, Dr. Whitesides provides his years of knowledge, training, and compassion to patients daily. We treat minor and complex procedures with the highest level of excellence.
About Dr. Lee Whitesides
Dr. Lee Whitesides is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 25 years of caring for patients. A North Carolina native, Dr. Whitesides graduated from Davidson College in 1984 with a BS in Biology. He then completed his master’s degree in medical science in anesthesia in 1986 from Emory University. After working as an anesthetist for two years, Dr. Whitesides entered the Medical College of Georgia School of dentistry. He graduated from MCG in 1992. After a one-year General Practice Residency in NYC he entered the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery program and University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore. Dr. Whitesides has practiced oral surgery in Georgia since 1997. He specializes in wisdom tooth extraction and complex dental implant reconstruction. To this day, he is one of only two oral surgeons in the country to hold certifications in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and a masters in anesthesia.
Dr. Whitesides resides in the Lake Oconee area with his wife of 31 years. They have three grown sons and a rescue dog, Stella.
